Yes, the X can run a clamp-on front derailleur and has the routing for a front derailleur cable as well. We've had a few different customers build theirs up with a 2x drivetrain and enjoy the wide range of gearing options. We recommend the Microshift Sword as an affordable option for a 2x groupset.
